Inside the therapy office:
I believe that as humans we are inherently interconnected to the other people, systems and nature around us and as such we are both impacted by and impact all that surrounds us. I view therapeutic relationships as two sided-I cant expect my clients to show up authentically if I don't do the same. I use curiosity, compassion and a touch of humor to create a genuine human connection that aims to create a non-judgmental space for clients to be vulnerable and brave.

I have worked in a variety of different levels of therapeutic care including inpatient psychiatric units, residential facilities, partial hospitalization programs and outpatient settings. I have worked with couples navigating various sources of disconnection, premarital counseling, and parenting concerns. In my individual work, I support clients in unpacking different life experiences, internalized messages and their stories to move towards living a congruent life. Additionally, I have worked with adolescents with eating disorders and their families within Children’s Hospital Colorado Eating Disorder Program.

I see therapy through a narrative lens that focuses on identifying the stories that we tell ourselves that are keeping us stuck in a cycle of discomfort and disconnection-change happens when we begin to dismantle the stories that no longer serve us and embrace a new and fluid narrative. By identifying, releasing and re-writing these narratives, we are able to shift the ways in which we interact with ourselves and our partners to allow for connection, congruence and compassion to blossom. In addition to narrative therapy, I lean on emotionally focused therapy, person-centered therapy and feminist theory during sessions, while always maintaining a foundation based in social justice and systemic perspectives.
Outside the therapy office:
I was raised in the foothills of Colorado and as such love most things that involve dirt and sunshine. Outside of working hours you’ll find me rock climbing (sitting under a rock with dear friends), snowboarding (sitting on a chairlift with dear friends), rafting (sitting on a river with dear friends), yoga-ing, or trying my darndest to throw a mug on a pottery wheel. I have a black dog we call ‘Bug’, a really cool husband, 6 siblings and 8 niblings (did you know niblings is the word for nieces and nephews?! You’re welcome).
